Mentorship Intern x10

Positions:

  • Remote College and Career Mentoring Intern
    • This is a non-paid internship position. We offer academic credit.

Qualifications:  

  • Basic understanding of zoom 
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Must reside in the Los Angeles area or in neighboring cities  
  • Age Requirement: 18 & older
  • Currently enrolled in a University

Preferred but not required:  

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, & Canvas 

Internship Training Includes:

  • Lesson Planning: Learn how to plan lessons and stay organized with the curriculum. Know how to present the curriculum by using lesson plans. 
  • Supervising Students: Learn how to supervise and work with students in a remote setting. This includes knowing how to communicate with the students. 
  • Virtual Teaching Techniques & Online Meeting Skills: mentor and provide support to high school students in a virtual setting; become skilled in using online meeting tools.
  • Interfacing with administrators, students, teachers and parents.
  • Networking with schools, community base organizations, and associations  
  • Understanding how to engage with others in regards the program 

Roles & Responsibilities:

After the initial training, interns will work with main teacher to teach a class of students. Interns will meet with students in groups and one-on-one settings (if needed) to present our ciriculum. Interns will help plan and explain topics in weekly meetings with the students. Responsibilities can include:

  • Meet with students remotely to provide our virtual course.
  • Prepare and conduct online classes with main teacher. 
  • Go over course material, topics, and do any additional research needed.
  • Work with other staff and interns to make sure ethnic studies course is presented well for the students to learn.
  • Record class meetings and write weekly reports on what occurred during the class.


This is a remote internship. Schedules are flexible. All meetings and tasks will be done remotely by the intern. Access to a laptop/computer with video and reliable internet is required to complete internship tasks. This internship can be used to fulfill academic credit requirements.

Counseling Intern x10

Positions:

  • Age Requirement: 18 & older
  • Currently enrolled in a University

  • Meeting with students remotely to provide virtual college and career guidance
  • Prepare and conduct online workshops for weekly assignments 
  • Write weekly reports on what occurred during the online workshops 


This is a remote internship. Schedules are flexible. All meetings and tasks will be done remotely by the intern. Access to a laptop/computer with video and reliable internet is required to complete internship tasks. This internship can be used to fulfill academic credit requirements.

Public Relations & Social Media Intern x2

 Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Zoom
  • Strong writing skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram
  • Age Requirement: 18 or older
  • Must be in college majoring in public relations/business/journalism or a related field.
  • A passion to learn and contribute!

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience with Canva
  • Experience with Social Media Platforms (Ex: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

Internship training will include:

  • Virtual Teaching Techniques & Online Meeting Skills
  • Interfacing administrators, business, and news media
  • Social Media Platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Content Creation using Adobe, Photoshop, or Canva

Role & Responsibilities:

After the initial training on our organization and its programs, interns will work on providing and creating information regarding our programs. The intern will work with our staff to raise our organization's brand profile and increase public engagement.

Responsibilities can include:

  • Create engaging content, presentations, press releases, website content, etc.
  • Meet with staff and social media team to coordinate and manage our events, tools, and brand.
  • Assist in securing speaking engagements for events.
  • Attend PR meetings and meet with consultants on a weekly basis.
  • Posting daily content to social media platforms.
  • Researching tips and information regarding college and careers
  • Manage any communications requests and direct messaging.
  • Collaborate with other staff and interns to make sure we are staying on brand in presenting our organization's goals and values.


This is a remote internship. Schedules are flexible. All meetings and tasks will be done remotely by the intern. Access to a laptop/computer with video and reliable internet is required to complete internship tasks. This internship can be used to fulfill academic credit requirements.

Community Engagement Intern x2

Qualifications:

  • Networking with schools, community base organizations, and associations  
  • Understanding how to engage with others regards the program 

Role & Responsibilities:

Well Suited is looking for an intern who has a passion for supporting students and  communities while collaborating with schools, organizations, etc. The Community  Engagement Intern plays an important role in providing support to the Community  Engagement team through assisting in the planning and execution of accessible and diverse  programs designed to increase school and community participation. They provide  awareness by administrative and analytic support.


This is a hybrid internship. Most tasks will be completed remotely. There will be times that  the intern will need to go in person to engage with school, community base organizations,  college/universities, etc. This internship can be used to fulfill academic credit requirements.
